Airport Operations Manager
Pay Grade: 130
Hourly Rate: $20.61 to $30.26

Job Description:
The City of Leesburg is conducting a search for an Airport Operations Manager. Position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of a medium-size general aviation airport, as well as for providing general oversight of major construction projects. Work is preformed with considerable independence, but is subject to supervision by the Deputy City Manager and/or City Manager and reviewed through conferences, analysis of reports submitted and results achieved.

Qualifications:
Requires five years of related work experience. Highest consideration will be given to applicants with experience in airport management, operations and maintenance. Additional weight will be given to applicants who are able to demonstrate knowledge of project management and construction oversight, and/or airport security and safety. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability to make routine repairs to airport facilities and airfield equipment. Requires an Associate’s Degree from an accredited educational institution, with coursework in Business Management, Aviation Management, Aviation Science, Airport Management, or a closely related field. Requires a valid State of Florida driver license and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment. Must maintain a land (non-cellular) telephone line to their residence. Possession of an appropriate FCC license permitting the repair of radio equipment would be considered a plus. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and work in a spirit of cooperation with other city employees, elected officials, airport tenants and the general public. Will work 20-25 hours per week. Salary DOQ.
