Subject:                      Resolution for Subdivision Plat of Leesburg Commons Business Park

 

 

Staff Recommendation

The Development Review Committee recommends approval of the proposed subdivision plat for Leesburg Commons Business Park. See attached copy of the Development Review Committee recommendations dated September 10, 2010.  

 

Analysis

The plat is situated in Sections 15, Township 19 South, Range 24 East within the existing municipal boundary and generally located south of Tally Road and west of Tally Box Road.  The plat consists of nine (9) lots on approximately 23.69 acres.  The project is owned by Leesburg Commons, LLC.

 

The proposed plat meets the requirements of the City of Leesburg Land Development Code and Florida Statutes.  The division of land is also consistent with the current zoning of CIP (Commercial Industrial Planned) and the Future Land Use Map designation of Industrial.

 

Options         

1.         To approve or disapprove the proposed plat.

2.         Other such action as the Commission may deem appropriate.

 

Fiscal Impact

There is no fiscal impact to the City.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING A PLAT OF LEESBURG COMMONS BUSINESS PARK PLAT, A SUBDIVISION IN A CIP (COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL PLANNED) ZONING DISTRICT, WITHIN THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF TALLY ROAD AND WEST OF TALLY BOX ROAD, LYING IN SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 19 SOUTH, RANGE 24 EAST; AND ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING TO THE USE OF THE PUBLIC ANY EASEMENTS OR PUBLIC PLACES SHOWN THEREON AS BEING DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida: 

 

That the plat of the following-described land, which is named “Leesburg Commons Business Park,” is hereby approved and accepted by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida:

 

That portion of Section 15, Township 19 South, Range 24 East, Lake County, Florida described as follows:

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all easements and other areas which are shown on the plat as being dedicated to the public are hereby accepted for municipal purposes and shall be under the care and control of The City of Leesburg, Florida. 

 

THIS RESOLUTION shall become effective upon its passage and adoption according to law.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida, held the 27th day of September, 2010.
