Subject: Resolution authorizing execution of an Agreement with DOPA Enterprises, Inc, d/b/a Holiday Marine, to provide Watercraft Repair Services at Venetian Cove Marina.
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of an agreement with DOPA Enterprises, Inc. to provide watercraft repair services at Leesburg Venetian Cove Marina.
Analysis:
The lease agreement with Derek Schoening d/b/a Lake Marine for the purpose of providing watercraft repair services at the Venetian Cove Marina expired effective September 30, 2010. The lease was sent out to bid and staff received three bids; DOPA Enterprises Inc, d/b/a/ Holiday Marine, Boats & More, and Prestige Welding Inc.

Staff felt the bid from DOPA Enterprises, Inc, provided the most comprehensive service as well as the optimum amount of revenue.
DOPA Enterprises, Inc, rent will be $550 monthly plus all applicable sales tax during term of this contract expiring September 30, 2011.
All other terms and conditions are described within the attached agreement.
Options:
1. Approve the attached resolution authorizing the execution of agreement with DOPA Enterprises
Inc. or;
2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate
Fiscal Impact:
This agreement will generate $6,325 in revenue for the City of Leesburg for the one year term.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DOPA ENTERPRISES, INC. D/B/A HOLIDAY MARINE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING WATERCRAFT REPAIR SERVICES FOR THE VENETIAN COVE MARINA; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA;
THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with DOPA Enterprises, Inc., dba Holiday Marine whose address is 1126 North Blvd East Leesburg, FL 34748 for the purpose of providing watercraft repair services for the Venetian Cove Marina. This is a one year term unless terminated earlier in accordance with the terms of this Lease. Rent of $550 shall be paid monthly to the City of Leesburg.
THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
