Subject:                      Resolution authorizing a lease agreement with Winston Taitt of Taitt Consumer Ventures, LLC for lease space at the Leesburg Business Incubator    

 

 

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of the lease agreement with Taitt Consumer Ventures, LLC to lease space at the Business Incubator for a three year term. 

 

Analysis:

The Business Incubator currently has two vacancies for new and emerging businesses that will provide a service or product to our community.  The proposed lease agreement will allow Taitt Consumer Ventures to locate their operation in the Business Incubator. 

 

Taitt Consumer Ventures, doing business as “FatherBox,” will offer innovative services, products and resources to nurture and enhance the Father-Child bonds.  FatherBox’s purpose is to eliminate the difficulty of organizing memorabilia and reliving the father-child activities.  FatherBox’s products and services offer consumers the ability to capture long lasting memories and reliving special moments. 

 

FatherBox’s target market is wives, children, and friends who want to give a meaningful gift to a father they know.  The company has plans to hire 2-3 full-time employees the first year and 3-5 employees over the next three years.    

 

Options:

  1. Approve the three-year contract with Taitt Consumer Ventures LLC, for lease space at the  

Business Incubator; or

     2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate.

 

Fiscal Impact:

The lease will generate $9,600 over the three-year life of the agreement.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH WINSTON TAITT OF TAITT CONSUMER VENTURES, LLC FOR OFFICE SPACE AT THE BUSINESS INCUBATOR; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

 

            THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Taitt Consumer Ventures, LLC whose address is 414 North Joanna Avenue, Tavares, Florida 32778 for services such as nurturing and enhancing the father-child bonds and reliving special moments.

 

             THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
