2.      CONSENT AGENDA:

Routine items are placed on the Consent Agenda to expedite the meeting.  If the Commission/Staff wish to discuss any item, the procedure is as follows:  (1) pull the item(s) from the Consent Agenda; (2) vote on remaining items with one roll call vote, (3) discuss each pulled item and vote by roll call

 

A.    Fire Department

 

1.      Approve Workshop in November, 2013 to evaluate options (Agenda Memos)

 

2.      Approve hire of independent, qualified Pension Benefits Consultant to evaluate options for Fire Pension Plans (Agenda Memos)

 

B.     Approve addition of Athletic Supervisor Position as Budget Neutral Action (Agenda Memos)

 

C.     Approve Civic Funding - Same as FY 2013, summary attached (Agenda Memos)

 

D.    Approve Extension of Hours at Wellness Center (Agenda Memos)

 

3.      ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

 

A.    Consider Airport Manager recommendations to add technician, reduce contractual services and expenses (Agenda Memos)

 

B.     Consider need for policy to address Special Events costs and billing - summary attached (Agenda Memos)

 

C.     Approve allocation of $50,000 of excess funds in Workman's Compensation Fund for Recreation projects (Agenda Memos)

 

D.    Consider increase of certain Recreation Fees - Resolution to be presented at August 12 City Commission Meeting for adoption (Agenda Memos, Supporting Docs)

 

E.     Consider increase of certain Building and Inspection Fees - Resolution to be presented at August 12 City Commission Meeting for adoption (Agenda Memos, Supporting Docs)

This section is reserved for members of the public to bring up matters of concern or opportunities for praise.  Issues brought up will not be discussed in detail at this meeting.  Issues will either be referred to the proper staff or will be scheduled for consideration at a future City Commission Meeting.  Comments are limited to two minutes.
