Subject:                      Resolution authorizing execution of Supplement No. 1 to the  Tav-Lee Trail Phase II PD&E Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of Supplement No. 1 to the Local Agency Program Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the Tav-Lee Trail.

Analysis:

The City previously entered into an agreement with the FDOT to manage the Preliminary Development & Environmental (PD&E) Study for the Leesburg-Wildwood Trail.  The FDOT has submitted a Supplemental LAP Agreement for the City’s approval to reflect changes to the original LAP Agreement which reflect changes in the tracking and accounting numbers associated with the project.

Options:

1.  Approve Supplement No. 1 to the LAP Agreement, or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

Fiscal Impact: 

There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA  AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SUPPLEMENT NO. 1 TO THE TAV-LEE TRAIL PHASE II PD&E LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM (LAP) AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

            THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Supplement No. 1 to the Tav-Lee Trail Phase II PD&E Local Agency Program (Lap) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) whose address is 719 South Woodland Boulevard, Deland, Florida 32720-6834,  for changes to reflect tracking and accounting numbers associated with the project

 THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
