Subject:                      Resolution authorizing  executionauthorizing execution of Supplement No. 1 to the Leesburg-Wildwood Trail PD&E Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of Supplement No. 1 to the Local Agency Program  Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the Leesburg-Wildwood Trail.

Analysis:

The City previously entered into an agreement with the FDOT to manage the Preliminary Development & Environmental (PD&E) Study for the Leesburg-Wildwood Trail.  The FDOT has submitted a Supplemental LAP Agreement for the City’s approval to reflect changes to the original LAP Agreement which reflects modified tracking and accounting numbers associated with the project.

Options:

1.  Approve the resolution authorizing execution of the Supplemental LAP Agreement, or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

Fiscal Impact: 

There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SUPPLEMENT NO. 1 TO THE LEESBUG-WILDWOOD TRAIL PD&E LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM (LAP) AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

            THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Supplement No. 1 to the Leesburg-Wildwood Trail Phase II PD&SE Local Agency Program agreement  withagreement with the Florida Department of Transportation,  whose, whose address is 719 South Woodland Boulevard, Deland, Florida 32720-6834,  for, for changes to reflect tracking and accounting numbers associated with the project.

 THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
