Subject:                      Resolution Authorizing Removal of Committee Member from the Venetian Gardens Master Plan Steering Committee.

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends the approval of removing Robert Johnson from the Venetian Gardens Master Plan Steering Committee.

Analysis:

On September 25, 2006 the City Commission approved the establishment of the Venetian Gardens Master Plan Steering Committee. 

On September 26, 2006 Robert Johnson informed Staff that due to time commitments, he would need to decline the appointment. 

Staff requests removal of his membership from the aforementioned Committee.  Staff will not seek replacement for his appointment at this time. 

Options:

1.   Approve removal of Robert Johnson from the Venetian Gardens Master Plan Steering Committee or;

2.   Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF COMMITTEE MEMBER ROBERT JOHNSON FROM THE LEESBURG VENETIAN GARDENS MASTER PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

            THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to remove Robert Johnson from the Leesburg Venetian Gardens Master Plan Steering Committee.

 THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
