Subject: Resolution approving a Subdivision Plat of Leesburg Commerce Park Phase 2
Staff Recommendation
The Development Review Committee recommends approval of the proposed subdivision plat for Leesburg Commerce Park Phase 2. See attached copy of the Development Review Committee recommendations dated October 1, 2006
Analysis
The plat is situated in Sections 21 and 28, Township 19 South, Range 24 East within the existing municipal boundary and generally located north of West Main Street and east of Park Center Street. The plat consists of 13 commercial/industrial lots. The project is owned by Storage Unlimited, Inc. and is being developed for a commerce park.
The proposed plat meets the requirements of the City of Leesburg Land Development Code and Florida Statutes. The division of land is also consistent with the current zoning district of M-1 (Industrial) and the Future Land Use Map designation of Industrial.
Options
1. To approve or disapprove the proposed plat.
2. Other such action as the Commission may deem appropriate.
Fiscal Impact
There is no fiscal impact to the City.

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING A PLAT OF LEESBURG COMMERCE PARK PHASE 2, A SUBDIVISION IN A M-1 (INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT, WITHIN THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF W. MAIN STREET AND EAST OF PARK CENTER STREET, LYING IN SECTIONS 21 AND 28, TOWNSHIP 19 SOUTH, RANGE 24 EAST; AND ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING TO THE USE OF THE PUBLIC ANY EASEMENTS OR PUBLIC PLACES SHOWN THEREON AS BEING DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:
That the plat of the following-described land, which is named Leesburg Commerce Park Phase 2, is hereby approved and accepted by the City of Leesburg, Florida:
That portion of Sections 21 and 28, Township 19 South, Range 24 East, Lake County, Florida described as follows:

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all easements and other areas which are shown on the plat as being dedicated to the public are hereby accepted for municipal purposes and shall be under the care and control of The City of Leesburg, Florida.
THIS RESOLUTION shall become effective upon its passage and adoption according to law.
