Subject:                      Resolution Appointing  one member to the Carver Heights & Vicinity Community Redevelopment Agency (CH&VCRA) Board

 

 

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends appointing  Lueverne. Montez to the Carver Heights & Vicinity Community Redevelopment Agency  for a one year term ending December 31, 2007.

 

Analysis:

Ms. Montez currently resides in the Carver Heights CRA district.  Ms. Montez is a volunteer and member of the Carver Heights Neighborhood Association, Lake County Education Foundation and a 4th grade teacher at Beverly Shores Elementary School.  

 

Ms. Montez’s civic involvement within the community will certainly benefit the CRA’s purpose to identify problems and develop solutions for redevelopment of the Carver Heights community.  

 

Options:

1.  Appoint Ms. Montez to the Carver Heights & Vicinity Community Redevelopment Agency; or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

 

            THAT the City Commission hereby appoints _____________________to the Carver Heights & Vicinity Community Redevelopment Agency (CH&VCRA) for a one year term ending December 31, 2007

 

             THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
