Subject:                      Deaf & Hearing Services of Lake & Sumter Counties Mural Project

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of the mural project (see attached colored drawing) for the exterior wall of the Deaf & Hearing Services at 220 South 9th Street, Leesburg, Florida.

Analysis:

The Deaf & Hearing Services have produced a tri-picture mural that they desire to place on their exterior wall between the existing window placements. A mural may be permitted under the Code of Ordinances as an exception to the sign limitations of our code (size, location, number, etc.) if the City Commission grants approval.

Options:

1.  Approval of staff recommendation, or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate
