Subject:                      Purchase Requisition #37389 to Cues for wastewater closed circuit TV inspection equipment for the Environmental Services Department.

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of purchase requisition #37389 to Cues for $29,980.00.

Analysis:

This purchase is required to add new equipment to the existing waste water line inspection system.

This is a sole source purchase as it will add new equipment to the existing Cues inspection equipment.  Other ‘off the shelf’ equipment is not compatible with the current City system.  Components may be purchased from other manufacturers but would require modifications in order to work with the Cues system.  Purchasing the items from Cues will guarantee 100% compatibility with the equipment already owned by the City.

Options:

1.  Approve the purchase to Cues in the amount of $29,980.00, or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

Fiscal Impact: 

The funds were budgeted and are available in the FY 2007 account indicated below.
