Subject: Resolution authorizing Appointment to the Lake Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Citizens Advisory Committee
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of Howard Wiener to the LSMPO’s Citizens Advisory Committee, term to be determined later.
Analysis:
The Commission appointed Howard Wiener to the Citizens’ Advisory Committee at its inception. However, the Committee had a problem with absentee members and decided to end everyone’s term and start anew. Mr. Wiener reapplied and staff feels he has been a conscientious representative for the City Attached is Mr. Wiener’s application letter. . [wp1]
Options:
1. Approve staff recommendation to appoint Mr. Weiner; or
2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA APPOINTING HOWARD WIENER TO THE LAKE SUMTER METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION'S CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:
THAT the City Commission hereby appoints Howard Wiener, P. O. Box 491000, Leesburg, Florida 34749-1000 to the LSMPO’s Citizens Advisory Committee; term to be determined later.
THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida, at a regular meeting held the 22nd day of January 2007.
