Subject:                      Resolution for Subdivision Plat of Legacy of Leesburg - Unit 7

Staff Recommendation

The Development Review Committee recommends approval of the proposed subdivision plat for Legacy of Leesburg - Unit 7. See attached copy of the Development Review Committee recommendations dated January 23, 2007.

Analysis

The plat is situated in Sections 13 and 24, Township 20 South, Range 24 East and Section 18, Township 20 South, Range 25 East within the existing municipal boundary and generally located north of Highland Lakes subdivision, south of C.R. 48, and east of U.S. Hwy 27. The plat consists of 169 residential lots. The project is owned by Rodgers Brothers Land Company, a Florida Corporation and is being developed for a mixed use residential development.

The proposed plat meets the requirements of the City of Leesburg Land Development Code and Florida Statutes.  The division of land is also consistent with the current zoning district of PUD (Planned Unit Development) and the Future Land Use Map designation of Low Density Residential.

Options

1.         To approve or disapprove the proposed plat.

2.         Other such action as the Commission may deem appropriate.

Fiscal Impact

There is no fiscal impact to the City.
