Subject:                      Resolution for Subdivision Plat of Crestridge at Leesburg

 

 

Staff Recommendation

The Development Review Committee recommends approval of the proposed subdivision plat for Crestridge at Leesburg. See attached copy of the Development Review Committee recommendations dated January 30, 2007.

 

Analysis

The plat is situated in Sections 20 and 29, Township 19 South, Range 25 East within the existing municipal boundary and generally located south of Old Tavares Road and west of Sleepy Hollow Road.   The plat consists of 51 residential lots. Pillar Development, LLC, a Florida Limited Liability Company owns the property and is developing it as a single-family residential development.

 

The proposed plat meets the requirements of the City of Leesburg Land Development Code and Florida Statutes.  The division of land is also consistent with the current zoning district of R-1 (Low Density Residential) and the Future Land Use Map designation of Low Density Residential.

 

Options         

1.         To approve or disapprove the proposed plat.

2.         Other such action as the Commission may deem appropriate.

 

Fiscal Impact

There is no fiscal impact to the City.

RESOLUTION

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING A PLAT OF CRESTRIDGE AT LEESBURG, A SUBDIVISION IN A R-1 (LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, WITHIN THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF OLD TAVARES ROAD AND WEST OF SLEEPY HOLLOW ROAD, LYING IN SECTIONS 20 AND 29, TOWNSHIP 19 SOUTH, RANGE 25 EAST; AND ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING TO THE USE OF THE PUBLIC ANY EASEMENTS OR PUBLIC PLACES SHOWN THEREON AS BEING DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida

 

That the plat of the following-described land, which is named “Crestridge at Leesburg”, is hereby approved and accepted by the City of Leesburg, Florida:

 

That portion of Sections 20 and 29, Township 19 South, Range 25 East, Lake County, Florida described as follows:

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all easements and other areas which are shown on the plat as being dedicated to the public are hereby accepted for municipal purposes and shall be under the care and control of The City of Leesburg, Florida. 

 

THIS RESOLUTION shall become effective upon its passage and adoption according to law.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida, held on the     26th    day of    February    , 2007.
