Subject: Resolution authorizing a Professional Service Agreement with Hidden Harbor Townhomes, LLC. to provide gas service to Hidden Harbor Townhomes
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of a Professional Service Agreement with Hidden Harbor Townhomes, LLC to provide gas service to Hidden Harbor Townhomes.
Analysis:
Section 22-7 of the Code of Ordinances requires developer funded natural gas main and service installations in all new residential developments of more than five units. Hidden Harbor Townhomes, LLC is building town homes known as Hidden Harbor Townhomes on south Hwy 27. The 88 units will, at a minimum, have natural gas water heaters and furnaces. In accordance with the above referenced ordinance, the developer will place in escrow $69,703 which will be used to fund the gas installation project in its entirety.
Options:
1. Adopt a resolution approving the Professional Service Agreement with Hidden Harbor Townhomes, LLC to provide gas service to Hidden Harbor Townhomes.
2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate
Fiscal Impact:
The capital outlay estimated at $69,703 will be funded through a customer contribution, placed in escrow, of the same amount.

A resolution of the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with Hidden Harbor Townhomes, LLC, to extend natural gas service to Hidden Harbor Townhomes; and providing an effective date.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:
THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Hidden Harbor Townhomes, LLC, whose address is 5500 U.S. Hwy 301 Wildwood Fl. 34785, for installation of gas service.
THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida, at a regular meeting held the _26th____ day of March_________ 2007.
