Subject:                      Resolutions Authorizing Execution of Contract Amendments with the Professional Engineering Firms Listed

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends adoption of the attached resolutions authorizing execution of a First Amendment to Agreement for Professional Services with each of the Engineering firms listed below.

Analysis:

The existing agreements list the engineering services to be provided by the firm on a continuing basis as needed by the City of Leesburg.  Each project will have a scope of work and task order with a price quote for the required services.

This contract amendment extends the term of the existing agreements with each of the following firms for one additional year.

· Jacobs Civil, Inc.

· Henry A. Sheldon, P.E.

The original agreements are the result of RFP-04-011.  The original Request for Proposal provided for an extension of the agreement for two additional one year periods.  The City, in agreement with the individual firms, is exercising the option to extend the existing contracts.

Options:

1. Approve the attached resolution authorizing the execution of the contract amendment number one with each of the engineering firms, or
2. Such alternative action the Commission may deem approriate. 

Fiscal Impact:

Project related assignments will be funded from appropriate capital funding sources, as provided by the adopted budget.  Non-capital related assignments will be funded through appropriate Engineering Services lines as provided by the adopted budget.  Future budget requests will include appropriate requests for funding.
