Subject:                      Accept rResolution authorizing an agreement with Allied Universal Corporation for Property Access

 

 

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of the Property Access Agreement with Allied Universal Corporation..

 

 

Analysis:

Allied Universal Corporation is required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to conduct a groundwater remediation project at their former location at 2320 Carver Drive in Leesburg.  This will require access to property owned by the City of Leesburg for access to existing monitoring wells and for connections to City of Leesburg sanitary sewer system.

 

 

Options:

1.  Approve the resolution as presented, or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

 

 

Fiscal Impact: 

There is no fiscal impact for the City.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A PROPERTY ACCESS AGREEMENT WITH ALLIED UNIVERSAL CORPORATION FOR PROPERTY AT 2320 CARVER DRIVE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

 

            THAT the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute a Property Access Agreement with Allied Universal Corporation, whose address is 3901 N.W. 115 Avenue, Miami, Florida 33178 for property at 2320 Carver Drive.

 

            THAT THIS Resolution shall become effective immediately.

 

            PASSED AND ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the City Commission of the city of Leesburg Florida, held on the 8th day of October, 2007.
