Staff recommends appointing Bill Wiley, Assistant Community Development Director, to the Lake Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Technical Advisory Committee.
The Lake Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization (LSMPO) created the Technical Advisory Committee to be made up of representatives from the municipalities in Lake County that are members of the LSMPO. These members advise their city’s staff on transportation issue the committee covers as well as other pertinent matters.
Community Development Director Laura McElhanon has served in this capacity representing the City of Leesburg.
Ms. McElhanon has resigned as the City of Leesburg’s Community Development Director and this resolution approves a replacement on the Technical Advisory Committee.
1. Approve Bill Wiley’s appointment to serve on the LSMPO Technical Advisory Committee, or
2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate
