Subject:                      Resolution authorizing an Addendum to the Mitigation Credit Purchase and Deposit Agreement related to credits purchased from the Wekiva River Mitigation Bank for the Runway 13/31 Extension Project at Leesburg International Airport

 

 

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of the Addendum to the Mitigation Credit Purchase and Deposit Agreement.

 

Analysis:

On February 11, 2008, the City Commission approved an agreement with the Wekiva River Mitigation Bank for the purchase of 1.16 mitigation credits needed for the Runway 13/31 Extension Project at Leesburg International Airport.  Upon receipt of the credit certificate, staff found that the original agreement for this purchase had the wrong permit number listed.  This addendum will correct that error.

 

Options:

1.  Approve the Addendum to Mitigation Credit Purchase and Deposit Agreement; or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

 

Fiscal Impact: 

Approval of the Addendum will have no fiscal impact on the City of Leesburg.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO MITIGATION CREDIT PURCHASE AND DEPOSIT AGREEMENT RELATED TO CREDITS PURCHASED FROM THE WEKIVA RIVER MITIGATION BANK FOR THE RUNWAY 13/31 EXTENSION PROJECT AT LEESBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CORRECT THE PERMIT NUMBER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

 

            THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Addendum to Mitigation Credit Purchase and Deposit Agreement with the Wekiva River Mitigation Bank  whose address is Post Office Box 540285, Orlando, Florida 32854, to correct the permit number for credits purchased for the Runway 13/31 Extension Project at Leesburg International Airport.

 

             THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Leesburg, Florida, at a regular meeting held the 12th day of May, 2008.
