Staff recommends approval of Task order No. 43 with Boyle Engineering for final design and permitting the ditch system in Heritage Estates enclosure.
This Heritage Estates project consists of enclosing a large upland-cut ditch system including a water quality treatment device to remove trash and debris from stormwater runoff. Enclosing the ditch will reduce maintenance costs, as well as reduce risk to our citizens.
1. Approve Task Order No. 43 as presented; or,
2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate
Cost of engineering services is $40,840.00. This task order will include final design, permitting and project management. Money for this project has been budgeted in FY 2009 under conveyance systems.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE TASK ORDER NUMBER 43 WITH BOYLE ENGINEERING TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR FINAL DESIGN AND PERMITTING OF THE ENCLOSURE OF A DITCH SYSTEM IN HERITAGE ESTATES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:
THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Boyle Engineering Corporation whose address is 320 East South Street, Orlando, FL 32801, for engineering services associated with Heritage Estates final design and permitting of the enclosure of a ditch system.
THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
