Subject:                      Request for Appropriation of Forfeiture Funds to Sponsor the Boys and Girls Club of Lake and Sumter Counties

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends appropriation of Forfeiture Funds of $1,500.00 to assist in sponsoring the Boys and Girls Club of Lake and Sumter Counties.

Analysis:

The Boys and Girls Club of Lake and Sumter Counties sponsor many fun and safe events and programs throughout the year for youth of the community. The appropriation of these Forfeiture Funds will be used to assist The Boys and Girls Club with funding for their events and programs. The Leesburg Police Department is very supportive of our youth and positive community endeavors.

Options:

1.  To approve the appropriations of Forfeiture Funds of $1,500.00

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

Fiscal Impact: 

Funding is available for this purpose and is an authorized use of Law Enforcement Trust Funds.
